Why Counselling?

Does your Emotional Wellbeing REALLY play that big of a role in your everyday life? Well, let’s think about it for a second. I want you to consider, and I mean REALLY consider your everyday life. Think about how you communicate with your partner, how you speak to yourself daily, how waking up and going to work or being a parent feels every single morning and whether you hold a general sense of ‘contentment.’ These are difficult, yet important questions, because each and every one of these point to your Emotional Wellbeing. So, whether you are consciously aware of it or not, you are practicing emotional wellbeing every moment of every day.

Many clients who come to see me admit that they’re overwhelmed, exhausted, and feeling stuck. They wonder how everyone else has it all figured out. They don’t feel smart enough/attractive enough/good enough/enough. They find themselves in unfulfilling relationships. They’re lonely. They often talk down to themselves, wondering why they can’t just get it together. They’re questioning their lovability, self-worth, and their overall life, even if others may not know it. They find themselves experiencing sadness more often, unable to move forward, and wondering if they will ever feel truly happy. Life feels really, really hard to navigate.

What can Counselling do for You?

During our time together, you can develop more self-awareness, self-compassion and self-acceptance. You can gain clarity about what you want in life, rather than what you think you’re supposed to do. You can grow a deeper, more fulfilling connection to yourself and others. You can form more healthy thought patterns that support you in your growth. You can begin to let go of guilt and shame. Perhaps most importantly, you can find more presence and meaning in life, allowing you to live more authentically, feel more joy, and experience more wholeness in spite of life’s challenges.
